Sag is momentary voltage drop phenomenon within one second.
There are two causes why sag happen. First, natural reason such as lightning,
storms, snow, heavy winds, or damage by wild animal and plant. Secondly
artificial reason which is manly about input voltage drops by electrical overloading
due to peripheral equipment usage.
Sag(dip) of power supply can appear without pre-warning and usually last less than 0.4 seconds, and can dip
the supply voltage down by 90%. Sag issues is now the most frequent quality problem in electrical power distribution.
DVC is engineered to deliver power supply at constant voltage whenever
there is a voltage dips at the main line, even complete momentary power
interruption, for up to 5 seconds (1 sec at full load).
DVC will protect sensitive equipment from being tripped by short duration

Standards of power failure
Equipment with Semi 47 protection capability does not mean that they are power dip proof. In fact, they are only protected with shallower dip, from 20% to 50%, dependent on the dip duration. Whenever there is a power dip occurs in heavy industrial estates, chances are it will dip more and longer than Semi 47 standard and force your equipment to shut down. On the other hand, DVC offers far better than Semi 47 requirements.
